Moose Meadow Christmas...

Hi! Its been awhile since I have posted...My Mom just had a triple bypass and we have been taking care of her...She is doing much better!....And I have a special order to share with you that I just got around to doing inbetween taking care of Mom and my regular duties....The stamp originally had a bella girl which I replaced with two of the bella guys and added some Santa Hats for the trip to Moose Meadows....It doesnt show up in the photo but there is Aleens Glitter Snow added to the torn paper to represent a snow bank...Some bling for the headlights and pom poms added to the Santa Hats for fun...The Santa Hats were taken from a Penny Black Mimi Stamp that I had used for my Christmas cards this year by stamping, scanning, resizing then cutting them out to pop up on these guys, a bit of sakura stardust in silver added to parts of the car and I cut out the Moose Meadow sign from the designer paper to tuck in the snow bank...This card was a blast to make and I was ready to make a card since its been awhile...It was good therapy...Hey Bill if you look closely its snowing on your card....Hehe....Hope you like it Mr. Bill :D
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and are gearing up for Christmas and the New Year! Hugs....Cookie

Happy Turkey Day!

This post is dedicated to some stampers whose work I love to oogle over...Emily from ArtfromtheHeart and Jessica at There She Goes Blogs...I LOVE how they cut out their images so perfectly like they do...I usually cut as close to the black line as I can but decided to try it the way they do it and let me tell ya it wasnt easy! Trying to get that perfect amount of white on the outside of the image...My hats off to them! I used my Pink Cat Studio Digi Image to cut out and pop up....I made one on kraft and one on white and I really like how the colors popped on the white background...although the white outline doesnt show up as much...I took the colors from my Turkey and found coordinating ribbons to add for fun...I hope I did them proud on the cutting part...Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my little ole blog and if you get the chance pay the girls a visit by clicking on their blog names above!...Have a great day!

Tinkerbell...

There was a challenge over at SCS to make a card using green...so I took the opportunity to make a Tinkerbell card for a friend of mine who loves her...And since she wears a green dress it worked out great for the challenge...The image was cut out twice and one popped up over the other slightly to give her dimension...I especially wanted the wings to look as if they are behind her but still bend them out a bit as shown...Pom Poms were added to her shoes with glue dots and SU Dazzling Diamonds make her wings sparkle...Some bling bling surrounds her for fun and ribbon tied around her hair...After I gave this card to someone at the shop another person saw it and ordered one and I ended up putting a few star blings in place of the regular bling...I had alot of fun making this card...My favorite style is Clean and Simple so I stayed with that...Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Christmas Cards....

Hi! I know its early to be posting Christmas cards when I haven't even posted any Thanksgiving ones yet...but I couldn't resist making a card using this adorable stamp from Penny Black called "Snow Kiss"...(click on photo for enlargement) Isn't it precious! The stamp was a wonderful surprise from my Aunt and I just had to ink it up...I have decided that this will be my card for Christmas this year...At first I just popped up the scarf and then my hubby says "you know what would look cute is if you popped up the hat too"...me thinking to myself "yeah I know it would be cute but he doesnt have to do all that cutting out" lol....anyways I had to try it and darn if he isnt right I like it....but wonder if I will do it on all of them??? Theres 40! So 40 scarfs and hats...YIKES thats 80?? I always give in and do it...and I wanted to try to keep it easy...lol...Well last years cards were pretty easy so this year I will spend more time coloring and cutting...I kept the layout simple and paper to a minimum...What do you think? Have you started your Christmas cards? Thanks for stopping by tonight!

Hi! Hope your all doing great...I saw these great acetate die cuts at Michaels the other day by Martha Stewart/EK Success and just had to get them to try...I was sitting right there on the floor with all 36 of these die cuts spread out looking to see what all you get...lol...There wasnt a photo of what all was in them so whats a girl to do? Anyways I loved all of them! And I thought they were a great price for so many pieces especially if you have a coupon too...So I took the plunge and got them along with another pack of more whimsy ones that I will share a card or two I have made using those also...I have to say they are so much fun to play with...I created this scene on a single piece of metallic cardstock and added red bling here and there for sparkle...Glues dots were added to the parts of the fence in black to attach to base so you cant see them...Pop Dots were added to pop up the headstone and owl....This card was a hoot to make...(no pun intended)....hehe...If you get a chance stop by SCS and get in on the challenge for today to make a card using a single piece of cardstock....Thanks so much for stopping by...I really appreciate the time you take out of your day to do so...Hugs!! Let's Hang Out...

I had so much fun making this card...I LOVE bird cages and I found this stamp a while back in the dollar bin at Michaels...I have had this idea in my head for a few days and thought I better do it before I forget...My favorite style is clean and simple so I took one of my favorite stamps and paired it with that style...I first stamped, scanned and enlarged it just a big bigger than the orginal stamped image...colored the birds to go with the ribbon I wanted to use, punched a hole in the top part to add a jumper ring to string the ribbon through...Pop Dots were added to the back of the birdcages to secure them once I cut them out...I also did this on one sheet of paper and put that on top of the front of the card so you cant see the ribbon secured on the back...Fun and Super Easy! The inside sentiment will say "Lets Hang Out"...Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your day is tweet! :D

Too Much Monkey Business...

I made this card for my Grandson who will be turning 3 years old in August! I have been calling him monkey lately so when I saw these cute stickers I had to make a card using them...The embossed leaf and kraft paper I thought went well with the theme...Twine was added to make it look like the guys were swinging from it and the one of the bottom has a dime on the backside so its weighted enough to swing back and forth...My Stampin Up buttons were the perfect color to go with this card...I couldnt help but think of a song Elvis sang called "Too Much Monkey Business" so I had to find the song on youtube...Have a great week!!

You Make Me Smile

I always love looking at the different styles of cardmakers out there and Moxie Fab World is having a card style week to celebrate their new magazine Card Style...I tend to stick with Clean and Simple Designs but love looking at the Vintage Collage Style cards out there too...Julia Stainton over at Belle Papier makes some beautiful vintage style cards and I have always wanted to try it! I went to Michaels and found a package of great die cuts by K&Company for half off the original price! The package is filled with great die cuts for just over 2 bucks! So I grabbed it and went home and got out some papers that I had by K&Company that went perfectly with the die cuts...I played around with a collage I was happy with and using my pop dots started to build my card...Pearls were added to the birdcage and some SU buttons for fun...I had so much fun making this card and want to say Thank You to Julia for inspiring me to give it a try...I had so much fun I went back to Mikes and got a second package! I encourage anyone to try a design they normally wouldnt do... I really enjoyed it for a change! Thanks for stopping by...Have a great day!

You're too kind...

Hi! Hope your doing great today! So glad the weekend is here! On this card I used SU Whimisical Words set...its was a little to small paired with the designer paper and I wanted it to really be center stage so I stamped it, scanned it and resized it before I matted it...I love using this SU punch as a border on the bottom of my matted images and sentiments...The colors in this K&Company are so happy I couldnt wait to use them...I added some punched out butterflies and blinged them up a bit (I do believe this MS Three in One Punch was one of the best investments ever I use it all the time). Sheer white ribbon tops it off....Thanks so much for stopping by...I really appreciate you! Hugs....Have a great weekend! Cookie :D

I made this card for the Clean and Simple Challenge over at SCS...I was inspired to use the colors black and white and a vintage design and this is what I came up with...I used Edwardian Script Font to go with this image I found at Graphics Fairy Website...she has some great images for free! The image was matted and popped up for dimension...TFL! Have a great night!

Driving in Style...

Heres is a card request I had for a friend of mine...He wanted me to use my Bella in the car but make it a Fella instead...so with the help of my photoshop I stamped and scanned the image...took out the girl and stamped and scanned my guy and put him in...It was actually kinda fun and I surprised myself that I figured it out pretty fast...I have done this kind of thing before but ran into a slight delay but figured it out...keeps me on my toes...he wanted the car pink with bling so that was what he got...He was happy with the results...Glad he liked it...I added his name to the front too...No last names were used in this post...Hehe....Have a great day!

Well the fireworks have already started here...Its been raining most of the day but it finally stopped...Happy 4th of July! I made this card for a challenge over at SCS to make a card that incorporates stars and the color gold...so I used gold stars to create this clean and simple design...It was fun to make...I had these gold confetti stars in my stash for a long time waiting to be used somehow...they were popped up on pop dots for dimension and I scored the red card base but it doent show up good in the photo...Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend!

Perched Bird...

My Aunt got me some goodies for my Bday and I used a few of them to make this card...I love designer papers and its fun to just take a piece out of the stack and make it a focal point on a card..On this one I cut out a portion of the DP then added the punched out bird since it fit well with the sentiment...I was tickled pink to get some great SU colored papers that I also got a chance to use...I layered the sentiment on the red then distressed the edges and popped it up against a swiss dot embossed paper that I scalloped cut the bottom and also distressed....some buttons for fun and a bit of black bling for the birds eye...I have to say I had so much fun making this card! Thank you Aunt Lori for all my wonderful goodies!! Love ya!!

Graduate...

Hi! Hope your doing great! Well I am sure all the Graduates are enjoying their summer...I made this card a while back for the shop and it was a success...I love using stickers and coordinating papers to make a quick card that has some pop...On this one I picked up some really neat silver paper that has a bit of sheen and texture to it...I kept this one clean and simple...Theres a bit of bling on the cap that was already on the sticker...Tip: For stickers I like to lay the sticker down on cardstock then cut out around it to give it more substance.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs....Cookie

Happy Birthday Bill!

Hi! Hope you are doing great! This post is dedicated to my hair stylist and friend Bill Dodge his salon is Scizwiz Hair Salon and he and the staff are the BEST!...His Birthday is coming up very soon and this is the card I made for him...He has been so sweet to put my cards in his shop and I am very grateful for that....He is awesome at his job and a very kind person...I love ya Bill! Happy Birthday!!!
On this card I added Sakura Stardust Pen in Red for sparkle and stamped the moose twice so I could cut out a portion and pop it up for dimension...I love this stamp the only draw back is the banner is blank so you have to either write in it (and my writing is bad) or what I did was stamp the image scan it then open it in your photo program and add your own font, print it out and cut and pop it up over the original stamped banner...one good thing is you can put whatever you want that way and pick your own font...Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week!

You decorate my life...

Hi! Theres two challenges going on over at SCS today...both are to do One Layer Cards...The TLC277 challenge is just a One Layer Card...The CAS71 Challenge is to make it one layer but make it something that flies...Oops...It hit me after I uploaded it that unless you are one of those people at a party who grabs onto one of these and flies around the room...Like in the movies...That this may not fit that one....But I had fun making it...One layer cards really get me thinking...because you want it to still have some punch and sometimes thats hard with one layer...I would have loved to have had some teardrop bling for this but I ran out so I used just regular bling bling...a bit of gingham was used to make a bow and a glue dot secures it....You decorate my life was a sentiment that came to mind being the card is kind of fancy...or you could say "You light up my life" either way I will have both of those songs stuck in my head now...Kenny Rogers "You Decorated My Life" and Debbie Boones "You Light Up My Life"...Have a great day and thanks for stopping by! Ok now you know I have to put up a video of Kenny!
