Ode to Audrey...

This card was made for the CAS25 challenge over at SCS...I LOVE Audrey Hepburn! She is so classy, a real lady inside and out...This is a "skinny card" if there is such a thing...if not there is now...lol...I thought making it slim fit best with this it just felt right (maybe being Audrey Hepburn had such a sleek thin figure)...I added sheer ribbon instead of solid to give it a more feminine feel and it keeps the card lighter since it is a CAS I didnt want to weigh it down too much...Bling was added to her earring for fun and her lips were colored to go with the paper...If you get a chance go over to SCS and try the challenge its fun! Thank you to MissBoo too for all her hard work and the entire CAS Crew past and present!

Hedgehogs Love Daisies....

Over at SCS I was happy to be todays guest host for the Ways To Use It Challenge...If you get a chance check it out! The challenge was ways to use charms! I saw these wonderful charms at Joanns in the jewelry section that say "handmade with love" they were very reasonable in price for how many you get! I used my Marvy Giga Scallop punch and punched out two squares and pieced them together for my frame, and the Daisy Punch was used for the daisy flower and leaf...some bling was added to the center for fun! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Day! Hugs! Cookie

Summer Daisy

To continue the Happy Summer feel I thought this card would qualify...Its for the CAS24 Challenge over at SCS...I have been stuck when it comes to layouts lately so I wanted to try something a bit different...I just play around trying different things till it feels right that for me can sometimes take the longest when making a card...I used my Marvy Daisy Punch and punched out two flowers and a mini glue dot to combine the two then a bit of bling for sparkle! Very easy! The orange panel is popped up for dimension...If you have a chance give this challenge a try! Its a great one for a Happy Summer card! TFL! Have a Wonderful Day!

Happy Summer

These Riley images by Hanna are so fun to make cards with! I stamped the image twice so I could cut out and pop up the head for some dimension, its my favorite thing to do on my cards.
I added some sparkle to the drink with a Sakura Stardust pen but it doesnt show up in the photo...A good way to use up those little extra bits of ribbon is to add a bit on the side of a card like a tag...Thanks for stopping by! Hugs! Cookie :D

Bride To Be....

Happy Friday! Our niece is having a Bridal Shower in August and I wanted to make her a card now so I won't be rushed at the last minute...I was hoping to make her one using a Stampin Up set, but didnt have it or know anyone who did, so when I saw this adorable Jolee's Stickers Set I just LOVED it! The only draw back is our niece has blonde hair! I wish they made them with different hair colors but she was still too cute to pass up...I walked around the craft store looking at papers that I thought would compliment the set and came up with the gingham and bright pink to go with the bright pink on her bouquet...You can't see in the photo but I scored a couple of lines in the white on the card to mimic a chair rail (I wish I would have made it a bit thinner)...I then placed the goodies around at her feet...These stickers are a quick and fun way to make a special card and they were on sale at Joanns for 40% off! I used some of the gingham paper to trace and cut out a flap for the envelope so it coordinates...
Have a Wonderful Weekend!! Hugs...Cookie

Fancy Owl

Theres a new CAS Challenge over at SCS...If you have time go check it out! For the challenge I used this owl stamp, it was only a dollar at Joanns by Inkadinkado...I thought it was so pretty! I stamped the Owl on Kraft paper twice and cut out the Owl so I could pop it up for interest...I had some bling that went with the paper I used to make the card (the hot pink was what inspired me). I LOVE the look of kraft and pink together and I thought the black complemented the Owl.
Thanks so much for stopping by!! Have a Wonderful Week! Hugs...

Pretty Paper...

Everytime I see Pretty Paper I think of the Roy Orbison song "Pretty Paper" and start humming it...even though its about Christmas...Such a pretty song...This year DCWV has some pretty papers in their Summer Stack, I just LOVED the colors in this particular paper but with it having images and writing on it I didnt have any stamps that did it justice so I just decided it was pretty enough left alone....So I cut out an image from the paper and paired it with a coordinating sheet also in the stack to make a super quick, easy clean and simple card! To give the paper image more substance I cut out a piece of cardstock and taped the image right on top then popped it up......Some bling was added for interest and fun....Thanks for stopping by and Have a Wonderful Weekend!! Hugs....Cookie :D

Of course I have to post Roy Orbison singing "Pretty Paper" now...

Thank you...

This is one of the sets that I was so blessed to get from my Aunt Lori! Isnt it CUTE!! I just love Hedgehogs...This layout is one of my all time favorites I use it all the time when I am not making Clean and Simple cards...A while back I saw these charms at Joannes and picked a pack up for my daughter who makes bracelets, they say "handmade with love" on them which are perfect for me since thats my blog description...When I showed them to my Aunt at the store they found their way to my house too...She's my FCM (Fairy Craft Mother)...You will need to have a jumper ring on hand to attach to it so it will dangle...The mouse is popped up for dimension as well as the whole matted image...I put together two punched out Giga Scalloped Punches and taped them together as a mat for the image too, its good to make sure you fill up the scallop mat as much as you can to insure you hide where you put the two together as much as possible...Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs....Cookie

Happy Brrrday!

Heres another clean and simple card for two of the challenges over at SCS! I just LOVE the clean and simple style...It really makes you think about how you can make the image stand out since the focus is all about the image...On this card I cut out the penguin and put him in between two pieces of torn paper (the front paper is popped up for dimension) then I added glitter snow to them for texture and sparkle...some orange bling was added to the cakes candle and a bit of ribbon for interest...Instead of putting the sentiment on the inside of the card I decided to use a toothpick to make a sign to stick in the snow. Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful week!

A little bird told me...

This card was made for the CAS22 Challenge over at SCS! My Aunt Lori told me my Aunt Bettys Birthday was on Tuesday so I thought this "A little birdie told me" stamp was the perfect one to use...I added a googlie eye to the bird and used some fun fiber to mimic bird feathers...A shout out to Jens son over at SCS too whose has a Birthday coming up....Happy Birthday!!!

thinking of you...

Heres another card for the CAS21 Challenge over at SCS...On this one instead of adding sparkle with glitter I added it with bling to the center of the flower...I stamped and cut out the three panels for dimension...I thought this stamp by Stampendous was so cute because its simple and pretty at the same time...its makes a nice clean and simple card...and its quick! My favorite kind! Have a Wonderful Weekend!
And a Happy Fourth of July!
