OCT 31st...

Ok I know its not Wednesday yet and I planned on posting this then but I decided to get this in early because tomorrow I wanted to spend some time with my Daughter and Grandson...So heres my Halloween card for today...I LOVE making cute, whimsy cards and when I got this cat sticker in the mail I couldnt wait to make a card using her...Isnt she cute! I added a bit of bling to her for fun and spelled out OCT with these letters I found at Target (which by the way you can get the cat there too in the dollar spot) and put the cat on top. I took my colors from the cat and went from there...After I put the OCT on the card I felt like it needed to be more specific so I added the 31st (which is a rub on from Targets dollar spot too) and punched it out with a circle punch...A black brad was added and some satin ribbon...I will have another Halloween card to share on Thursday...They are getting pretty addicting! Blame it on JulieHRR hehe...who by the way has some AWESOME cards on her site Paper Trufflez... Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs...

Friendship...

Hi! Hope your not getting sick of my Designer Paper cards...This is another one of a set of 6 that I will have for sale...I added a bit of bling on each side of the Friendship to add some elegance to it...and a black satan ribbon...Being that this is part of a set of six cards I thought of the movie "With Six You Get Eggroll" (can you tell I really like adding something from youtube to my blog entries?) I love this old movie...Did you know that George Carlin played a bit part in it? And see if you recognize these two guys who went on to play in the TV show MASH...

What About Bobbing?

I was going to title this "Bobbing For Apples" and the movie "What About Bob" popped into my head....hence the new title..."What About Bobbing?" I LOVE Bill Murray so this was my way of giving him a little kudos...You know in case he stops by my blog...lol...yeah that will happen...hehe...anyways for this card I cut out and popped up the cute hedgehog from the Stampin Up Set "Halloween Hedgehogs"...This would be a great fall card too as well as Halloween...It took me a couple of times before I liked the colors I chose...the first time there was just too much brown in the image so I ended up putting a bit of red on the tub for color and then made the mouse gray instead of brown...
Supplies: Stampin Up Halloween Hedgehogs Set, Stazon Black Ink, DCWV and Halcraft Papers, Watercolors by Kimberly, Ribbon and Pop Dots

Bridal Bouquet...

Theres a CAS challenge over at SCS to make a Wedding Card....I LOVE the look of Clean and Simple when it comes to Weddings...And I have always like the simplicity of long stemmed flowers with the leaves stripped off and ribbon wrapped around the stems...Its so elegant looking to me...so I thought I would try to recreate that on this card...The flowers are a bit larger than I wanted but I went with it, and strips of green paper were used for the stems...A bit of bling was added to the centers for fun! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Day!
Supplies: Halcraft and DCWV Papers, Glue Dots, Bling, Flowers
Hey did your favorite win last night on Americas Got Talent? Mine did I thought the Chicken Catcher was a great singer and he made me laugh too so Congrats to Kevin Skinner!...Who was your favorite?

Will Work for a Bite...

With Halloween coming up I thought using the Martha Stewart Drippy Goo Punches would be fun! Thank you Aunt Lori for hooking me up! I wanted to make a Clean and Simple card and I came up with this...I thought of the Stampin Up "Just Between Fiends" sentiment "Will Work for a Bite" would be perfect with the drippy red...This would be a great card for any "Twilight" fans you may know too...I added some punched out bats to the inside so when the recipient opens it out they fall...Anybody else working on Halloween cards I would love to see them! Post a link....Have a Wonderful Weekend!! Hugs...Cookie

Mr. Frank Boo

For the past few days I have been busy making Halloween cards trying to get a head start! My Aunt and I went out to Michaels and saw these adorable brads by Recollections...They inspired me to get started...I LOVE the colors and the designs on them! I started out by just matting the cut out Boo letters then I thought it needed something else...I went around the green paper with a marker in a abstract manner....Then decided it needed something special...So I got out Booglie Eyes by Stampin Up colored him and added some black polka dots on his shirt (not sure guys wear polka dots but oh well, lol) to go with the brads and cut Mr. Frank Boo (thats what I named him) out and placed him peeking up from the Boo with a pop dot...Of course I had to add some googlie eyes! A bit of sakura silver stardust pen was added to his bolts on his neck...Thanks so much for stopping by!

Pop Dots!

One of my favorite things to do on a card is cut out part of the image and pop it up on pop dots! If you get a chance head over to the SCS and get in on the CAS Challenge which by the way we have a new CAS Design Team! Congratulations to all of them! And a Big Thanks to the previous team for all the wonderful creations they shared with us...For this weeks challenge its to use my favorite thing...POP DOTS! They give such a wonderful dimension to cards...On the first card I stamped the image twice then cut and popped up the heart to make her look like shes holding it right out there in front of you...On the second card I stamped the image three times and cut and popped up the second image the the teapot on top of that....I really love the look of this green and pink together with the gingham paper so I used it for both cards....Thanks so much for stopping by and for the wonderful comments you leave I really appreciate it more than you know!

25th Wedding Anniversary

I had made a card like this a while back for one of my customers and she called and wanted another one so I thought I would post it and share with you...This cake by Jolees is so detailed!
I started with a white card then added a sage on that to go with the leaves on the cake...Not sure if you can see in the photo but I then put a sheet of printed vellum on that and an embossed vine paper on the bottom...As I tryed different layouts I thought this one kind of looked like a cake sitting on a pretty tableclothed table....I then finished it off with some pretty ribbon and a circle punched layered 25 with a jumper ring attached for some shine...Tip on the vellum....When using vellum on this I didnt want my double back tape to show so I made sure I place it where the cake would cover it up...You really dont have to tape down the corner of the vellum it gives it a neat look with out that...between the tape and the ribbon on the left this keeps it in place...These stickers are so fun to use all you really need to do if come up with a pleasing layout and coordinate your colors and add some pretty papers (Darn I wish I would have tucked the ribbon behind the cake plate on the bottom left before I took the pic, too late I know I am picky, lol)...Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Stylin...

Heres another special request card from one of my customers, she wanted a Hair Stylist on the card for one of her fellow beautiticians...When she told me who is it was for I knew just what to do.
I have two stamps by Stamping Bella, one lady with a brush and scissors and a girl with a blow dryer...So I combined the two by stamping the blower dryer and cutting it out and inserting it into her popped up pocket on her coat...I colored the blow dryer to look like her own personal one (its black and hot pink leopard) a black thread was added to give the effect of the cord...This card was so FUN to make! She is a very stylin girl so I hope she enjoys it, the inside reads "Hope your Birthday is a cut above the rest"...Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Day!

Special Request...

Wow it seems like forever since I posted last! Its been a busy time for me with school starting back up but things are calming down a bit now...A very sweet lady who has been so very kind to purchase many cards from me had a special request...she wanted me to make her a card to give a special person in her life who just happens to be a Police Officer...I didnt have any stamps so I made a trip to Michaels and found this cute set by Jolees...I just love the variety they have! You can find something for any occassion! I combined the striped paper (which I thought had a nice manly look to it) with a solid blue a bit lighter than the uniform....She wanted the inside to read "Happy Birthday to the Top Cop".
Supplies: Jolees Grande Stickers, DCWV Papers, Pop Dots
