Happy New Year!

After I made my first card I thought how fun it would be to add a chandelier above the silhouette image...And when I saw the challenge over at
Moxie Fab World "Trigger Tuesday to use Black and White With The Possibility of Green" I knew just what colors to use! I thought the Black and Green color combo was really fab to bring in the New Year! Bling and a tiny black satin bow was added to the chandelier for fun...Thanks for stopping by! Happy New Year!

Now that Christmas has come and gone its time to get ready for a New Year! And its almost here...I hope you all had a Wonderful Christmas and you were able to be with the ones you love...I wanted to share this CAS (Clean and Simple) style card I just made using this fun Party Silhouette by A Muse I thought it would be fun to put a clock with it that put the emphasis of midnight on it so I found an image on google and resized it,used my circle punch, then added a small black brad to the center for fun...To give it some pattern without taking too much away from the image I found this gingham ribbon to finish it off...Sorry this didnt photograph the best since theres a bit of overcast here in the Sunshine State...Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Blessed New Year!! Hugs, Cookie...

Wish Upon A Christmas Star...

This is an oldie but goodie card I made using the A Muse Bear which I thought made a cute Christmas card...And it fits the challenge over at Moxie Fab World to use a critter! On the image theres a scarf and I decided to cut part of it off and tied some red ribbon around his neck, then I added star bling in the sky and placed the cut out bear on torn paper which mimics snow...Thanks so much for stopping by!

More chipboard! I can't help it...Its so easy and I get instant gratification...something thats nice this close to Christmas... All I did here was add the pink and red paper onto the card base then popped up the chipboard and add the snowflake and some bling, ribbon and thats it! I wish you could see it in the photo, the red on the chipboard is shiny....Now to go with the whole Merry theme I thought I would upload one of my favorite Christmas songs sung only how James Taylor could sing it..."Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"...He has such a nice voice...Have a Wonderful Day....And Be Merry!! Chipboard Happy!

Ok I admit it...I am chipboard happy! I found some adorable chipboard pieces at Michaels and couldnt resist...I just wish I could get several of one type so I can make more cards of one kind for the holidays...They are so fast and easy, I feel a bit guilty I didnt spend enough time on them, but love the way the chipboard looks...Theres a challenge going on over at SCS to make a Clean and Simple card using curves, so I used my curvy chipboard for this card...Some bling was added to the chipboard for fun and I found some ribbon that tied in with the design (no pun intended). I just got done watching White Christmas its a tradition...I still get teary eyes when the General walks in the room filled with soldiers at the Inn...Gets me everytime...Heres one of my favorite songs from the movie and I can vouch that it really does work to count your blessings instead of sheep to help you go to sleep...Not sure why but when I tried it and started thinking of the little things I take for granted like a bed, clothes, hot water what I consider blessings I started to nod off...pretty neat...Have a wonderful week! JOY

Since it doesnt snow here in Florida I thought I would bring the snow to my blog, can you see the small snow flurries floating on my card?
My post for today is from the Christmas cards I have been working on... I think this card turned out to be my favorite so far...I wish I could make 40 of them for my Christmas cards but it would end up costing alot since the chipboard letters pack are dollar each and I try to keep the cost down on mass producing...It was so fun and easy to make...Are you getting ready for Christmas? I just put the lights outside last night, I am getting a head start on that part...We will do the tree sometime next week...How is yours coming along so far? Have a Wonderful Week! Well for Florida its cold but no Snowmen yet...I have yet to see snow in my lifetime in person...
Its 46 degrees out right now and its cold enough for me! Its a nice change from the heat but I dont want it too cold...Even though we dont see snowmen in our parts I LOVE making snowmen cards...they are so cute! On this one I added some silver brad buttons and some sakura stardust pen on the stars and a bit on the torn paper snow...I stamped the snowman twice once in blue so I could cut out the scarf and pop it up...A snowflake charm was added to the ribbon for fun...Thanks so much for stopping by! P.S. Hey Gabi your cards really got me in the snowman making mood! I am loving your cards!

CAS Christmas Card 2009

When I saw this Martha Stewart punch at Michaels I knew I wanted somehow to incorporate it into my Christmas Cards this year and keep them very simple...I usually spend so much time on my cards because I always use Christmas Stamps and theres usually alot of coloring involved...I make 40 cards every year and have been doing it for over 12 years now...I decided this year I was going to do something Clean and Simple...Whats great about this is that its a whole lot less time spent on mass quanities...and no stamps! I found a great font on my computer to spell out peace so this is all matting and then punching out the dove...I initally wanted to find a branch small enough to put in the birds mouth and add a bit of red bling to it like holly but cant find a branch that small...Clean and Simple is a style I LOVE so I am going with it this year....Ok now I need your help in deciding whether or not to add bling or not please let me know in the comment section the top one has bling on the "P"...TFL! Have a Wonderful Day!

Elvis the 70s...

I love Elvis! So its only fitting I make an Elvis card to share with you...One of my all time favorite Elvis Eras was "Thats The Way It Is" / "Vegas" even though I loved them all...He was so gorgeous in the white jumpsuits with that black hair and beautiful face! Theres a challenge going on over at SCS to make a Clean and Simple Card using white and one other color ....So I chose white and black and added a bit of bling for sparkle...Elvis loved his bling bling...I went thru my papers to see if I had any that was just black and white and found this funky print that I thought fit the 70s theme...I sure have missed getting in on the challenges and it feels great to be back! Thanks so much for stopping by today...Thank you thank you very much (in my best Elvis impersonation)...

Give Thanks...

Hi! I hope everyone had a great week and have some fun planned for the weekend...With Halloween almost here and gone I thought I better start on some Thanksgiving cards so I worked on those last night and have one to share with you...Target had some great chipboard pieces in their dollar section, a whole bag full in fall colors...I thought this chipboard piece would make a great clean and simple card so I paired it with some orange and cream papers then added some brown ribbon and adhered it on the back and finished it off by popping up the chipboard for dimension...The gold leaf really adds to the card to give it a little extra something...I hope you all have a wondeful weekend! Please be careful out there during the festivities....Thanks so much for stopping by!

Diaper Cake...

Hey! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend...Our air is broke and its about 82 degrees in this room right now and I am hot! Being in Florida it makes it tough...I havent felt up to making any cards so I thought I would share this diaper cake I made for my daughters baby shower a couple of years ago...It was my first one I made and I had so much fun making it, I was going to buy one but when I found the directions online I thought I would just give it a try myself and it was cheaper that way too...The wooden B on top I found at Walmart and thought it made a cute topper to stand for Boy or Baby...since my daughter was having a boy I used blue accessories for the diaper cake...I found a layette set that I was able to get alot out of to add to the cake...Thanks so much for stopping by!

Priscilla the Painter...

Todays post is dedicated to my daughter because today is her Birthday and she loves to paint...So this Elzy Painter was just the right one to use for her card....I stamped the image twice so I could cut out and pop up the canvas and her baret...I thought this paper from Targets dollar spot worked great with the different colored spots to mimic the paints on her palette... I tried my hand at abstract art on her canvas since thats what she paints and put a little color on her towel in her pocket for fun...I hope she likes it! Happy Birthday Cilla!!! Baby...

I made this card a while back and wanted to share it with you...I had these letters for a long time before I knew what I would use them for, then it hit me when I was making a baby card that they would be perfect! I pulled the colors from the blue/green plaid and thread the letter beads through the ribbon using my paper piercer to help guide it through to the other side...This made is so much easier...I then used my scalloped scissors to cut the edge and paper piecer to punch the holes...This card went to my niece who just had a baby boy...Congrats to them!!

OCT 31st...

Ok I know its not Wednesday yet and I planned on posting this then but I decided to get this in early because tomorrow I wanted to spend some time with my Daughter and Grandson...So heres my Halloween card for today...I LOVE making cute, whimsy cards and when I got this cat sticker in the mail I couldnt wait to make a card using her...Isnt she cute! I added a bit of bling to her for fun and spelled out OCT with these letters I found at Target (which by the way you can get the cat there too in the dollar spot) and put the cat on top. I took my colors from the cat and went from there...After I put the OCT on the card I felt like it needed to be more specific so I added the 31st (which is a rub on from Targets dollar spot too) and punched it out with a circle punch...A black brad was added and some satin ribbon...I will have another Halloween card to share on Thursday...They are getting pretty addicting! Blame it on JulieHRR hehe...who by the way has some AWESOME cards on her site Paper Trufflez... Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs...

Hi! Hope your not getting sick of my Designer Paper cards...This is another one of a set of 6 that I will have for sale...I added a bit of bling on each side of the Friendship to add some elegance to it...and a black satan ribbon...Being that this is part of a set of six cards I thought of the movie "With Six You Get Eggroll" (can you tell I really like adding something from youtube to my blog entries?) What About Bobbing?

I was going to title this "Bobbing For Apples" and the movie "What About Bob" popped into my head....hence the new title..."What About Bobbing?" I LOVE Bill Murray so this was my way of giving him a little kudos...You know in case he stops by my blog...lol...yeah that will happen...hehe...anyways for this card I cut out and popped up the cute hedgehog from the Stampin Up Set "Halloween Hedgehogs"...This would be a great fall card too as well as Halloween...It took me a couple of times before I liked the colors I chose...the first time there was just too much brown in the image so I ended up putting a bit of red on the tub for color and then made the mouse gray instead of brown...

Bridal Bouquet...

Theres a CAS challenge over at SCS to make a Wedding Card....I LOVE the look of Clean and Simple when it comes to Weddings...And I have always like the simplicity of long stemmed flowers with the leaves stripped off and ribbon wrapped around the stems...Its so elegant looking to me...so I thought I would try to recreate that on this card...The flowers are a bit larger than I wanted but I went with it, and strips of green paper were used for the stems...A bit of bling was added to the centers for fun! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a Wonderful Day!
Supplies: Halcraft and DCWV Papers, Glue Dots, Bling, Flowers
