Happy Birthday Son!

Happy Birthday Son! Todays is our sons birthday and I wanted to make him something that incorporated surf and sand since he loves it! We just got back from the beach yesterday so this card fits well for the whole celebration of his birthday and our trip...I also used the challenges over at SCS to get me inspired...If you get a chance check them out! Both the CAS28 challenge and the LSC234 challenge are to make masculine cards...The paper I used came from DCWV Summer Stack which is full of great papers some of them more geared to scrapbooking but I LOVE to use them on cards...My husband really like the way the card turned out, probaly because hes a die hard "Gator" fan and the colors look like the teams...We will give him the card tonight when we go out for dinner...Thanks for stopping by!

King of the Grill...

If you are ever stuck to make a guy card this stamp is a good one to go for...Guys usually LOVE to grill out and you can come up with something to fit the occasion to go on the inside pretty easy...How about....."Happy Birthday" to the "King of the Grill" or....for Valentines maybe you could put something like "I've Flipped For You" or "Happy Fourth of July" or "Happy Summer"....I really like to come up with sentiments to match my stamps for the different occasions...The grill top was cut out and popped up for dimension and sakura stardust pen in red and silver both were added for sparkle on the grill and on the flipper! I did put a bit more grass on the left with my black marker to balance it out a bit more... Thanks so much for stopping by!

Ode to Marilyn...

The Clean and Simple challenge is up over at SCS and this weeks challenge is to make a card using "Bling"....I LOVE bling on my cards, this one uses alot more than I normally do but when I saw the challenge I couldnt help but think of diamonds! Then the next thing that came to mind was the song "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" from the movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" with Marilyn Monroe...I knew then what I wanted to make....An "Ode to Marilyn" card...since I made one in honor of "Audrey Hepburn" why not "Marilyn Monroe"....I wish you could see the sparkle better in the photo....Its so pretty in real life....I added bling for her necklace and popped up the matted image for some dimension....Thanks for stopping by!

Supplies: Printer,Bling, Pop Dots and Papers
Of course now I have to put up a video of "Marilyn" from "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes"

earth angel....

Yay! I finally got to play the CAS26 Challenge over at SCS to include stitching on a card...I remembered having this fabric sticker patch that a sweetie sent me on SCS and it has been in my stash waiting for the right moment and now its here! I attached the sticker to cardstock to make it more sturdy then added a bit o bling and popped it up for dimension. Some pink and white gingham ribbon to bring out the colors in the patch. I love the look of pink and brown together! Thanks for stopping by! Hugs...Cookie
