Hoo Loves Ya Baby!

For the challenge over at
SCS to make a Bright and Bold card I chose to use a hot pink mat and some bright bling! I just got this stamp recently when I had a 50% off coupon from Michaels...This stamp was really calling out to me! I LOVE the Hero Art stamps that they are carrying right now! I cut out and popped up the owl and the flowers and added bling for sparkle and kept it clean and simple...In the words of Kojak..."Hoo loves ya baby?" (Well sorta)
Have a wonderful day! Hugs! Cookie :D

flowers...

This is for two different challenges that are going on right now! Theres the A-Muse-A-Palooza Challenge #2 to use ribbon on your card and for the CAS20 Challenge over at SCS to paper piece...I love using both of these on cards so I had to play! This is my all time favorite A Muse stamp the Flower Cart...I paper pieced the awning and popped it up for dimension and cut slightly in between the flaps and bent them up to give the awning the effect of blowing in the breeze a bit..the wheel was also cut out and popped up for dimension and a brad added to the center...If you get a chance check out the challenges and play along!

Wow I am so tired from this past weekend I feel like I could drink a pot of coffee!

Here's Your Sign...

I stayed up late last night getting everything ready for Fathers Day...I have spent so much time on Fathers Day cards for the shop and I still needed one for my hubby! I wanted something fast but with some interest so I came up with this Joe Cool Snoopy holding a "Happy Fathers Day" sign using a dollar stamp, paper piercer and toothpick...The Snoopy image has his thumb up so I thought I could make that look like he was holding a sign...The colors I chose matched the brown and blue striped wrapping paper that I used for his gift...The top panel is popped up since the toothpick doesnt lay down flat it worked better that way...I would recommend using a flat toothpick but all I had were round ones...He got a kick out of it...I will be using this idea again but with different sentiments, this is the perfect "Heres Your Sign" image! I hope everyone enjoyed Fathers Day! Have a Wonderful Week!

DAD

Can you tell I have been making alot of Fathers Day cards? I found these letter cards in my stash and thought they would make an interesting card...It was one of those things where you keep them around because you know you will eventually use them for something...And so I did! I popped up the letters with pop dots for dimension and then added silver faux brad stickers on top of every other red dot on the "A" for interest...Thanks for stopping by! Hugs...Cookie :)

Daddy Big Boots...

Heres another Fathers Day card I made using the CAS19 Challenge over at SCS...I thought this boot sticker was so cool I just had to use it...The word "Dad" was a computer font and I just used two different size circle punches to mat it...For some reason the main panel color looks slightly different in the photo its more close to the darker brown on the shoe in real life...and the other papers are cream and a deep burgundy...Clean and Simple cards are so much fun to make they are my favorite! For my title of todays card I chose "Daddy Big Boots" from the movie G.I. Blues Starring Elvis Presley...Thanks for stopping by! Now of course I had to find Elvis singing "Daddy Big Boots" (What a lucky baby that was!)

father...

I have been working on Fathers Day cards for the past week and this is one of the cards I came up with...I picked out the letters to spell "father" and I actually had them and in colors that coordinated well with the paper I chose to go with it...I got lucky there, its not always so easy...I wanted to keep it simple since the letters say it all...just letters and a bit of designer paper to go with it and thats it! Stamping Up Glue Dots worked great on putting the letters on and giving me some play on lining them up...Fathers Day will be here before you know it!

Supplies: Chipboard, Stamping Up Glue Dots, DCWV Papers

See if you remember this one....check it out...

One Cool Dad!

I have been working on getting some Fathers Day cards ready since its coming up on June 21st...
Holding onto this chipboard waiting for when something special was needed,I actually pulled out the letters long ago and put them aside but had not covered them in paper until yesterday...I LOVE the look of covered chipboard but its a bit time consuming but once I got the papers out for the card I knew what I wanted to do...I thought this was a nice masculine designer paper which isnt easy to find in a stack of papers since they tend to be more feminine but this worked! The letters were traced on textured paper by DCWV then cut out and I used double back tape to adhere the paper on the chipboard...My Aunt gave me some SU glue dots which this is my first time using and I LOVE them for this kind of card since they give great hold and a bit of play to move the letters around ...The Snoopy (Joe Cool) was colored then cut out and I cut a long piece of scrap pop dots material to pop him up....Paper Glaze was added to his sunglasses for some shine but I never can get this to show up in a photo...Its really neat in person...I was tempted to add something to the left but decided it look better without it...I hope you enjoy todays card! Have a Wonderful Day! Hugs...Cookie :)

Friends

This is the card I made for the SCS Color Challenge to use only white cardstock and make it one layer...I LOVE this kind of card because its usually pretty quick, takes limited supplies (so you don't have to have alot to make it) and the simplicity is so pleasing to the eye...At least it is for me...I used the Friends stamp in Stampin Up's "Love Matters" set...I wanted to make the colors happy and I thought these fit the bill...One of my favorite things to do to a single layer card is put a bit of bling on it for a little something special...and not to take away from the colorful sentiment I decided to go with a white ribbon...I tried colored but it distracted too much from the focus...
Thanks for stopping by! I really appreciate the time you take to visit my blog...Hugs Friends!....Cookie :)

Ok group hug!

The Original Thong...

Growing up back in the 70's a type of flip flops were called "thongs" now they are a type of undies...lol...instead of part of it going in between your toes...the undies go between...well you know...
Thats why I just had to title this entry "The Original Thong." This card was made for the CAS17 Challenge over at SCS . I popped up the matted image for dimension and added some orange bling for sparkle...A bit of orange and white ribbon for a tag inspired by a orange and white beach towel.

Have a Wondeful Week!
Hugs...Cookie
