Give Thanks...

Hi! I hope everyone had a great week and have some fun planned for the weekend...With Halloween almost here and gone I thought I better start on some Thanksgiving cards so I worked on those last night and have one to share with you...Target had some great chipboard pieces in their dollar section, a whole bag full in fall colors...I thought this chipboard piece would make a great clean and simple card so I paired it with some orange and cream papers then added some brown ribbon and adhered it on the back and finished it off by popping up the chipboard for dimension...The gold leaf really adds to the card to give it a little extra something...I hope you all have a wondeful weekend! Please be careful out there during the festivities....Thanks so much for stopping by!

Diaper Cake...

Hey! I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend...Our air is broke and its about 82 degrees in this room right now and I am hot! Being in Florida it makes it tough...I havent felt up to making any cards so I thought I would share this diaper cake I made for my daughters baby shower a couple of years ago...It was my first one I made and I had so much fun making it, I was going to buy one but when I found the directions online I thought I would just give it a try myself and it was cheaper that way too...The wooden B on top I found at Walmart and thought it made a cute topper to stand for Boy or Baby...since my daughter was having a boy I used blue accessories for the diaper cake...I found a layette set that I was able to get alot out of to add to the cake...Thanks so much for stopping by!

Priscilla the Painter...

Todays post is dedicated to my daughter because today is her Birthday and she loves to paint...So this Elzy Painter was just the right one to use for her card....I stamped the image twice so I could cut out and pop up the canvas and her baret...I thought this paper from Targets dollar spot worked great with the different colored spots to mimic the paints on her palette... I tried my hand at abstract art on her canvas since thats what she paints and put a little color on her towel in her pocket for fun...I hope she likes it! Happy Birthday Cilla!!! (I call her Cilla for short...I named her after Elvis ex-wife Priscilla Presley) I hope you have an AWESOME Birthday!!!! Love ya! Mom :D

Thank You...

Todays card I am sharing is made with Stampin Ups set called Nice and Easy Notes...I really like this set because you can make a fast card that has a sentiment added already...I added the "Thank you" charm to the gingham for a something extra...Now I have to share this video I just saw! It really made me think how much we take for granted in life...and how thankful I am, after watching, it for the little things in life....Check it out!

Baby...

I made this card a while back and wanted to share it with you...I had these letters for a long time before I knew what I would use them for, then it hit me when I was making a baby card that they would be perfect! I pulled the colors from the blue/green plaid and thread the letter beads through the ribbon using my paper piercer to help guide it through to the other side...This made is so much easier...I then used my scalloped scissors to cut the edge and paper piecer to punch the holes...This card went to my niece who just had a baby boy...Congrats to them!!

Husband and Wife...

One of the ladies at the salon needed a Wedding card so this is one of three I made for her to chose from...I dont know what I would do without my Aunt Lori who hooked me up with the the papers and image so I could make this card (there was a request for teal and Aunt Lori even had that!)...I added some dazzling diamonds to the brides dress and it sparkles so pretty in person...I printed out an S and layered it for their last name initial...I really think I like the more simple layout on this one....I have another one I made thats a bit more fancy she may like that one...Isnt the embossed paper so pretty! It really makes a Wedding card extra special! Thanks Aunt Lori! And Congrats going out to the soon to be married couple!

Whimsical Christmas Tree...

Hi! Ready for a change? I am breaking away from the Halloween cards I have been posting to show you the card I made for two challenges over at SCS....One of those challenges was to make a Christmas Tree card...and the other one was to make a card using the colors Pink Blue and Green in CAS style...so I combined both challenges and came up with this card...Its my Whimsical Christmas Tree card...I LOVE the Non-Traditonal colors that are out at Christmas, the color combinations are so refreshing and still so pretty! I used my scallop punch to assemble my tree then added some pink and blue bling for sparkle...
Supplies: Paper by Paper Trey and DCWV, Pop Dots, Bling and Marvy Scallop Punch
Now I have to post one of my favorite Christmas shows of all time!! Puts a tear in my eye everytime...

October 31st with Target

Hey everyone!
I am still having fun making Halloween cards as you can see...On this card I used the wondeful dollar items that are at Target right now! They have some wonderful stuff for Halloween and everything on this card except for the folded card itself is from there...Isnt this paper cute!? And the 3-D stickers and ribbon coordinate with it...Makes it so easy to put together a card and do it on the cheap! Thanks so much for stopping by! Hugs...Cookie :D
