Wish Upon A Star...

I was finally able to make a card for my favorite challenge over at SCS to use little bits of ribbon...I decided to use this cute guy from A Muse Stamps I know it looks a bit like a Winter/Christmas card but I guess you could give it to someone and write "Your cool" or
"When you wish upon a star may all your dreams come true"...but I thought of this stamp when I saw the challenge being he has a scarf on...I stamped and cut the image out and part of the stamped scarf since I was putting the ribbon around his neck...used torn paper to mimic a snow drift and put a star sticker in the sky...I just LOVE the clean and simple design so I am very happy they have these challenges for us to join in on...If you have time check it out here...
Thanks so much for stopping by!!! Hugs...Cookie :)

U & Me...

I found these chipboard goodies in the dollar section at Michaels and I have been having fun with them ever since... I LOVE the look of pink, black and white together it has a nice crispness to it...I added brads to the holes that were already on parts of the chipboard and white ribbon to the heart...Did you know one of Elvis favorite color combos was pink and black in the fifties? Being an Elvis fan I found this out :)
Thank you thank you very much...
Have a wonderful day!

Daisies...The Friendliest Flower

Theres a scene in "You've Got Mail" where Tom Hanks gives Meg Ryan Daisies...and she says "Don't you think daisies are the friendliest flower?" Thats such a cute scene and shes right they just make you want to smile...I found this paper in my stash and thought it would go great with this cute stamp by Elzybells...I stamped the watering can twice then cut it out and popped it up for dimension...I added some bling to the centers of the flowers and on the punched out flower in the right hand corner...I used my scalloped scissors on the yellow trim...then white ribbon...
Stop by Elzybells sometime and check out her adorable stamps! Have a wonderful day!

Ruff!

Hey!
Hope everyone had a great weekend! I made a card for the CAS11 challenge (which is an inspiration one today based on bedding on the JC Penny site) and was hoping to post it now but its raining Cats and Dogs here...So I thought while I wait it out that I would post a Dog Card I made a while back...My Aunt Lori who is one of the most wonderful people in the world and I am not just saying that she is, sent me this adorable image to color....Isnt he cute! In fact I think just about everything on this card was from a box of goodies she sent me...I had a blast putting this card together...I really love to put dimension on a card by stamping an image twice then cutting parts out and popping them up on some pop dots...On this one I did that to the dogs head...All the colors were pulled from the striped paper and then I added some bling to his collar and a paw brad to a punched out circle for interest.

Hugs Aunt Lori!!!

Aloha Butterfly!

Heres another card I made for a couple of challenges that are going on over at SCS this week. The CAS10 challenge (To make a monochromatic card) and the WT214 challenge to make something framed...I punched out a circle to pop up and put my punched out butterfly in the center with a bit of bling...I used my wavy scissors to go with the Hawaii theme paper I had...I felt much more comfortable using the more contrasting colors...For my first card I used more of a tone on tone which is more of what I think of for monochromatic... Kinda of like what Regis Philbin wore on "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire." Have a Wonderful Weekend! Thanks for stopping by! Aloha!

Chipboard Happy

I have just recently been using chipboard alot more, I love looking at the dollar spot at Michaels and Joannes and finding fun stuff to use on my cards...This was for the CAS10 challenge over at SCS...For this challenge of making a monochromatic card I used the abbreviation chipboard of "happy" to pull my colors from...I paired it up with a chipboard shape and two shades of green and kept it very simple...I used pop dots to lift the dark green panel up just a bit then more pop dots on the chipboard for dimension...If you have a chance give this challenge a try it really gets you thinking! TFL! Have a Wonderful Day!
