I always love looking at the different styles of cardmakers out there and Moxie Fab World is having a card style week to celebrate their new magazine Card Style...I tend to stick with Clean and Simple Designs but love looking at the Vintage Collage Style cards out there too...Julia Stainton over at Belle Papier makes some beautiful vintage style cards and I have always wanted to try it! I went to Michaels and found a package of great die cuts by K&Company for half off the original price! The package is filled with great die cuts for just over 2 bucks! So I grabbed it and went home and got out some papers that I had by K&Company that went perfectly with the die cuts...I played around with a collage I was happy with and using my pop dots started to build my card...Pearls were added to the birdcage and some SU buttons for fun...I had so much fun making this card and want to say Thank You to Julia for inspiring me to give it a try...I had so much fun I went back to Mikes and got a second package! I encourage anyone to try a design they normally wouldnt do... I really enjoyed it for a change! I'm catching up on a bunch of posts languishing in my reader and saw this card and went, "WHOA!!! What's Cookie doing?" Then I read your post and now I know. It's beautiful! You really balanced so many different elements beautifully!
Why haven't I seen this mag on the newstands. OMGOSH, I need it!
