Merry Christmas Colorado Style!

Hi!  I wanted to post this Christmas card and wish you all a Merry Christmas!  It will be here before you know it....Thank you all so much who have stopped by my blog over the years...It means a lot to me!
On this card I used an adorable image from Penny Black stamps and I call it Colorado style because thats where my heart is this year with my Daughter, Son in Law and Grandkids out there, I wish I could be with them...I added a pom pom to his hat for fun and then to add some texture I used some Glittery Snow to the ground below him...I LOVE using this stuff! It gives it such a neat look...I had some glittery tree brads in my stash that my Aunt Lori gave me and they fit this card well...I wish I would have found this paper and these brads before I made all my cards this year.  I didn't have enough of the cute tree paper to make them all that way so it worked out....Thanks for stopping by today!  Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Christmas Gift for Beach Lovers...

This year for my hubby's family Christmas Party I wanted to make something to give to the guests to take home as a reminder of our time at the beach...I used the sand from Daytona Beach Shores where we stayed and added tiny starfish, sand dollars and assorted shells, tied a sheer blue ribbon and printed out name tags a glued a tiny starfish on the tag...These were the same ornaments that were also used on our Beach Style Christmas Tree for the party...I had fun making these and they would be a great thing to give someone who loves the beach!  Thanks for stopping by today!  Merry Christmas!

Beach Style Christmas....

Our family Christmas party was held over at Daytona Beach this year...We decided to do a beach style Christmas tree in the living room where we stayed over at The Tropical Manor...Our room was a 3/2 ocean front that was perfect for the party...I have been collecting decorations to put on the tree all year...I used pink hibiscus, white finger starfish, Adirondack chairs in blue and pink (the pink ones have a tiny wicker hat and the blue one I added a white rolled up towel) white lanterns with battery operated tea lights that flicker, ceramic fish, blue round glitter ornaments, and clear ones with sand from Daytona Beach and shells were added...I used a white beach towel as the tree skirt and a large angel fish to match the smaller ones was put on top of the tree....I had so much fun creating this tree for our party....The second photo is of the front porch using a lantern with garland, hibiscus, white finger starfish and ocean blue ornaments that sparkle. A wicker hat and towel were placed on the chair for fun...I will be sharing some closer pics later tomorrow and a gift idea for beach lovers...Thanks for stopping by today!  Merry Christmas!

Christmas....Beach Style...

This year I am doing a theme tree for Christmas....And to go along with the theme tree which is Beach Style I have just finished my wreath for the front door for our Beach Style Christmas Party this year...Which we are having at a cute little motel that we all treasure "The Tropical Manor" for my hubby's yearly family Christmas get together....I found this cute ceramic fish during the summer (which is the best time to shop for beach decor) and he is our main focus on the wreath....Found some white finger star fish on Ebay for a dollar each (a lot cheaper than the price at the craft store which are 4.99 ea.) I hot glued a piece of ornament wire on the back to thread the star fish through the wreath to secure them...With the door opening and shutting a lot you want to make sure this stuff stays put...
The white lights were added first there are 50 lights.  I got the hibiscus when they went on sale after the summer to add....The blue glitter ornaments which reminded me of the pretty blue ocean were found at Old Time Pottery...The glitter is on the inside which makes it better for not getting glitter all over your hands....I hope everyone likes the wreath for the party! I can't wait to decorate the tree and put up the rest of the stuff!  I have more photos I will post from the beach later on....Thanks for stopping by today!

Jack is on his way....No...not Jack Frost....

Jack is on his way!  No...Not Jack Frost but little baby Jack!  Yep there's another baby on the way!  And this time the Congrats go to Stephanie and Josh!  We are so excited for their new addition....The baby shower is tomorrow and this card will accompany the gift.  I stamped the image three times in order to paper piece the blanket that Jack is in and then also I wanted to give the blanket and Jacks head dimension by using pop dots.  I hand wrote "Jack" on the tag and added ribbon, button brads and a safety pin through the white ribbon for fun in coordinating colors....Hope you are all doing great and staying warm this winter...Its been pretty cool here in Florida....Thanks for stopping by today!

Rock Star...

Hi!  I am so glad you stopped by today...I wanted to share a card I made using one of Birdie Browns Digis...I am so glad I found her before she closed shop for her adorable images...On this card I did some serious fussy cutting, which I love to do but is sometimes time consuming...I popped him up for dimension and added some red glitter for sparkle on his guitar...I LOVE using the red glitter glue!  Its so sparkly!  I did find that it easier to use a toothpick to get into tiny spaces more so then the glue top...Some punched out music notes were added for fun...Thank you so much for coming by today...Have a great weekend!

Valentines Day Snoopy Style...

Happy Valentines Day!  I have had so much fun making Valentines cards this year.  On the card I am sharing today I used a Snoopy image I found online that I saved long ago and finally got around to use it.  I am loving the red glitter I have been using by Studio G.  This was another card for the SCS challenge to use red.  I did a clean and simple style so I left a lot of white open space around Snoopy.  Thanks so much for stopping by and I hope you all have a wonderful Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day!

Well almost....I wanted to share with you a card I made using another adorable image from Whimsie Doodles...If you havent ever been over to their site you need to go check it out! They have lots of cute digi images which is fast becoming one of my favorite ways to make cards...You can size them anyway you want and they dont take up space like standard stamps do and you dont have to use ink pads so you get a nice crisp image everytime!  On this card I cut and popped up the I Love You she is holding and added some red glitter which is something I dont usually do but LOVE the way it looks so will be using alot more of it!  Scalloped scissors were used to make the border on the matted image...I want to give a shout our to a SWEET lady I know and tell her I am blessed to have met her...She made my week by casing a card of mine and saying kind words on her blog...Her card is adorable!!!  Go by and check her out over at The New and Improved Nutty Cardmaker...She is an angel....Hugs to you Peggy!!

Ode to The Partridge Family....(Update Farewell Ruben Kincaid)

When I first saw this Digi Image offered by Birdie Brown I thought of my old childhood crush David Cassidy...LOL!  Remember him?  He was on the show The Partridge Family..."I Think I Love You" was one of his big hits...So I had to get it...I had so much fun coloring the cute birdies...It makes it so easy to pick the papers you want then chose the colors for your image by using those...if you get lucky you may find the copics to match...Thats not easy...I wish Copics would make papers!!  Wouldnt that be great?  I punched out a flower for my sun and added the button in the center for fun...TFL!  Have a GREAT weekend! Ok now you know I have to add a video! Update:  I just saw where Dave Madden passed away after I made this post...He played Ruben Kincaid The Partridge Family Manager...Farewell Ruben :(
