The Clean and Simple challenge is up over at SCS and this weeks challenge is to make a card using "Bling"....I LOVE bling on my cards, this one uses alot more than I normally do but when I saw the challenge I couldnt help but think of diamonds! Then the next thing that came to mind was the song "Diamonds Are A Girls Best Friend" from the movie "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" with Marilyn Monroe...I knew then what I wanted to make....An "Ode to Marilyn" card...since I made one in honor of "Audrey Hepburn" why not "Marilyn Monroe"....I wish you could see the sparkle better in the photo....Its so pretty in real life....I added bling for her necklace and popped up the matted image for some dimension....Thanks for stopping by!

Cookie, this piece is so reminiscent of Warhol and when I opened your blof this morning my initial reaction was to gasp with joy and my first thought was 'this piece belongs at the Hirschhorn Museum of modern art right here in Washington DC. It's clean, assertive, and beautiful.
