Happy Everything!

Hi! I hope everyone had a great memorial day weekend! I found these two stamps at Michaels in the dollar bin...I have always wanted a birdcage stamp so I had to get this cute little guy...The sentiment was a dollar too and I thought the "g" in everything would be a great place to hang the cage from with a jumper ring, I tied a tiny black bow and used a glue dot to hold it in place....I made it "Clean and Simple"...my favorite style! Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great week!

Red Hat Ladies Request...

Hi! I hope everyone is having a great week so far! I had a request from a Red Hat Lady to make a special card....She wanted me to use these Bella girls but she wanted hats on them...So I stamped and resized this image to be a bit bigger since she wanted a bigger card and then resized a stamped image of some hats that came with a Stampin Up Red Hat Lady Set...This is the finished card...I found some fun fibers in my stash to give the card the boa feel like alot of the ladies incorporate in their style...The hats are popped up for dimension and the flower was added for a little something extra and it added to the fun feminine feel...I had so much fun making this one! Thanks for stopping by...Have a great day! Hugs...Cookie

Happy Graduation Sam!

This post is dedicated to my niece Sam who just recently graduated from College! Way to go Sam! We love ya!!! See you at the party tomorrow...I hope she doesnt see this card before then...hehe...I found these great stickers at Michaels (it came with many others too) and arranged them in a way I thought was pleasing, matched with some coordinating papers and the black satin ribbon tied off on top...To give the stickers substance I placed them on cardstock and cut around them then popped them up on pop dots...The 2010 sticker came in a different set but my hubby told me I needed to incorporate that somehow so thats what I did...Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by!! Congrats Again Sam!!

Shabby Chic Bird (CAS Design)

Theres a challenge over at SCS to make a Shabby Chic card using the Clean and Simple Design...I really had to think this about this combination...While Shabby Chic cards are usually made using several elements on the card I just narrowed them down but still kept what I see in a Shabby Chic Style...The only thing I had that reminded me of Shabby Chic was this SU Bird Punch since birds and birdcages are usually a part of a room design in a Shabby Chic room and alot of times they are painted white or cream so my bird is white, Pink was the color I chose for the mat since its a popular shabby color and gingham on the wing for pattern, I distressed my paper using scissors to give the worn look that is so popular in the shabby chic design...I used lots of white which I see alot in shabby chic rooms or creams...I used texture by using my cuttlebug to emboss the swiss dots and some bling was added for shine to the birds eye...and last I added fabric by using the satin ribbon to the top of the card...I was so wanting to do a chandelier in white ink on pink with bling but didnt have what I needed for it..Maybe one day I will try that! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

Happy Birthday Christina!

Hi! First of all I want to wish my niece Christina a very "Happy Birthday"....I hope you have a wonderful day and enjoy your special day and most important have FUN! I didnt want to post a photo of your card because then you would know what it look like before you got it....so todays card is a special request I had for someone who loves classic cars...In this case I chose a 57 Chevy out of the cars they told me they liked and since Christina works for Nascar she would appreciate someones love for cars....The car was cut out and the window too to look like its rolled down and brads were added to the center of the tires...Sakura Silver Stardust pen was also added for sparkle...Wish it showed up in the photo...I had plans to use checkerboard paper to mimic race flags but couldnt find any so I found this fun retro looking paper and it worked! The inside reads "Hope your Birthday is a Classic!".....and Christina I hope yours is too!!! Hugs and Love, Aunt Cookie :D
