Hi! Over at SCS theres a CAS Challenge to use Pink, White and Green and I LOVE that combo so I decided to play...This is the direction I went with it...My original card was made by using a SU set called Whimsical Words which I liked but didnt think it went as well as the sentiment I found later online that said what is on this card I used my SU Three in One Heart Punch and then cut strips of the green for stems (I thought leaves might make it look to heavy so I just left it as is)...If you have a chance go over and get in on the fun!

I LOVE making Valentines cards! There are so many CUTE Valentine goodies out there too...I wish it showed up on this card but I cut out the hedgehog and paintcan (even the handle and that wasnt easy) and popped them up for dimension...Some paper glaze was also added to the red paint on the can and in front of it for shine...Gingham is such a great paper to use when making Valentine cards...Thanks so much for stopping by today!

I found this photo of a card I made during Halloween...If you stop by here very often you know how much I LOVE the embellishments by Recollections that they put out for all the different holidays and seasons...I know Penny knows! Hi Penny! She loves Recollections embellishments too...I just placed them on a white background just the way they came on the acetate...makes it super easy! Hi! Well Valentines is on its way! I LOVE making Valentine cards they are always so fun...Theres a challenge over at SCS to make a CAS card using die cuts...I chose a cloud die cut to give the illusion this cute little guy is being lifted up by his heart shaped balloon...I added a bit of sparkle to the balloon by using sakura stardust pen in red...Ok now I have to add the video of...You guessed it...You're Love is Lifting Me Higher...hehe...

Snowmen in Florida?

I know you might be thinking Snowmen in Florida??? I dont usually use snowmen as part of my holiday decor but when I saw these sweet wooden snowmen I thought they were so cute! I found the tree in the background at Old Time Pottery for only 4 bucks and added some battery operated twinkle lights and tucked the battery holder inside the basket I put the tree in that was only 99 cents! The lantern I picked up at Michaels in the Wedding section...its a simple whimsical centerpiece for the dinette that lights up really pretty at night...Stop by The Lettered Cottage for some really awesome Christmas Ideas!

Hey! I wanted to share another one of the Christmas Mimi Set images from Penny Black...I really wanted to cut out and pop up the star for fun and I also added some sakura stardust pen to make it sparkle...I first stamped Mimi then scanner her and resized to make her a bit bigger than the original ( I LOVE being able to do that with the computer).

I LOVE Nutcrackers! They come in so many different styles and sizes...Today I wanted to share this photo I took at my Aunt Melba and Uncle Bill's house during Christmas last year...I found out they love them too! Happy Halloween! A Yummy Card by Guest Designer Lori Hamilton

Happy Halloween!! I am ready for some Trick or Treaters to stop by...Hope we get a few, last year there werent very many...A special treat for me was having these CUTE cards to share with you that my Aunt Lori made...Arent they adorable! This is the last of the three and I wanted to share with you not only the outside but how Lori does the insides too! On the outside she used so many wonderful details like the spider web punches and ribbon she thread through a slot on the card! She is really mastering her copic shading too! Wish I could...On the inside she adds a Martha Stewart envie but covered it in coordinating papers...how clever is that! And on the right you can see where she put her green paper through the spider web cuttlebug folder...She thinks of everything! I love the matted labels too...I wanted to give a shout out to Sue who emailed me asking if Lori had a blog...Sue loved her work...I passed the message on Sue and Lori says maybe one day when she retires...but until then I can post more of her designs in the future...Thanks so much to Lori Hamilton for letting me showcase her work and sending me these CUTE cards...We love you!!!

Hi! Hope everyone is doing great! I am ready for the summer to be over and fall to begin arent you? Its been really hot here in Florida! Today I wanted to share with you a card I made using some brand new Recollection stickers I found at Michaels...They always have the cutest 3-D stickers for the holidays...They used to be only .99 cents which was a steal! Now they are 1.29 but worth every penny! They make for a cute card fast....I just took the stickers off the acetate and placed them on a white piece of cardstock (I tend to place them just like they are on the acetate cause they are usually just the right balance) then I matted them and added a spider web border on the bottom...Some of these cute little guys have googlie eyes and the spider is fuzzy and soft...Some "Happy Halloween" ribbon was added for fun! I have been on a Penny Black fest for a while now...Their stamps are just so darn cute! This is a Mimi stamp I recently got from my "Fairy Craft Mother" (thats what I call my Aunt) and speaking of my Aunt I will be posting a card made by her this week too...Its so pretty and I cant wait to share it with you...For this Mimi card I added a button and used some dental floss to thread it since its so easy to thread then some gingham ribbon tags to the right and some bling on a few of the flowers...I have been on a gingham kick too...I couldnt help but think of the Carpenters song "Close to You" when I named my post...Now I have to post that song! I just LOVE these cute stamps by Penny Black...This one is called "Mimi on the Go"...My Aunt was so sweet to get me several of these stamps recently and I couldnt wait to ink them up! Over at SCS they used her card for the sketch challenge and I couldnt wait to play....Its such a Clean and Simple card but packs alot of interest...And thats whats great about her designs...I used a red and white gingham and a dollar stamp by Studio G for the sentiment...The SU Three in One punch was used staggered down the right of the card and bling was added for sparkle and popped up for dimension...White satin ribbon tied on the side and that completes by card for the challenge! Hi! Hope you are doing well...Over at SCS they have a Clean and Simple challenge using puns...Heres the link if you want to play along...Theres some great cards over there! One of my favorite things to do is take a stamp that is small and make it bigger and thats what I did here...I used to see stamps and think "That would be so cute if it were just bigger" cause some of them are so small especially the dollar stamps...Then it hit me! I can stamp it, scan it and resize it to any size I want! And thats what I did with this dollar stamp I got a while back...On this card I cut out the cage and punched a hole to string ribbon through the top added some blue chalk for sky then computer generated the Happy Bird-Day to make a banner...The clouds were punches my Aunt Lori sent me that I have been dying to use...This was a fun card to make and super simple! Hi! Hope your having a wonderful weekend so far...I just LOVE this stamp my Aunt gave me a while back and I wish I would have inked it up sooner! On this card I cut out and popped up the shoes and her purse and put a silver bead on the purse front...Some Sakura Red Stardust Pen was used on her necklace for a bit of sparkle...I didnt have a scallop punch big enough so I pieced together two to get the size I wanted...just tape to secure it and if you make your image piece big enough you wont even see where you pieced it together! An awesome collection of Digi images and I found some that were perfect for my request so I ordered several of her images once I found her site! She has some really cute stuff and I will be sharing more as the week goes on...On this one I sized it to what I liked then cute her out and added some tiny pearls to her tiara and waistband...I kept the design very clean and simple where the focus was totally on the sweet image...I typed out the occassion then matted it on circle punches and hung it from a jumper ring on a sheer white ribbon...Thanks so much for stopping by!

Hey! I hope today finds you happy! In my series of cards using "Recollections" Stickers I thought these would make a great summer card...For either a "Have a great vacation" or how about an invite to a friend for a day at the beach...Whatever you chose for the occassion these stickers from Recollections are so much fun in their details...On this card I left the stickers in place right on the acetate they came on and just cut it out and matted it...You can hide the pop dots right behind the stickers if you want to pop up the whole set...And another reason to make your card this way is you can then let the recipient either keep it as is or use the stickers on a scrap page for your trip to the beach along with a photo from the event...Fun and super easy! Hi! I hope today finds you well! I just LOVE these Mimi Stamps by Penny Black...The sets are so versatile and come with several stamps in the set so you can mix and match...My only wish is that they come out with a Miles version of this set...Everytime I make a card using Mimi my hairdresser says I wish it was a guy instead of a girl...So I am hoping they come out with some more Miles sets...On this one I used three of the stamps to make this scene of Mimi enjoying some java with her cute dog near by at the cafe...I added a bit of bling on the dogs collar for fun..I popped up different portions for dimension (Her beret,the dog, the coffee cup and the cafe sign). Hi! Hope your having a wonderful week so far...Todays post is a card I made for the Color Challenge over at SCS (my second home). Many times when I see a challenge I tend to over think it and then I come back to a Clean and Simple design and I feel better...I have decided it must be the style I am meant to do...It always gives me a sense of calm...On this card I used three different punches...The SU Bird Punch for the stem/leaves, Martha Stewart Three in One Butterfly Punch for the tiny blue butterflies and the SU Three in One Flower Punch...The white is such a great canvas to start with...it gives the design center stage...it took me a a few arrangements before I decided to go with this one...Punches are a great way to make a quick card that still has punch...(yeah I knew I was going to say that). Its starting to feel like summer already here in Florida...And one of the best parts of living here are the beautiful beaches...So for todays CAS Challenge over at SCS to make a card based on The Great Outdoors I picked my favorite place...The beach...Sitting there watching the sailboats is so peaceful...I have always wanted to make one of these type cards using punches...On this I used my circle punch, square punch and then some wavy scissors...It was so much fun to make! Hi! Hope everyone is having a wonderful week so far! Today I am getting off my main topic of cardmaking to share something else I really enjoy doing...and thats making our house a home by decorating with the things we love and have collected over the years...Its so much fun to take different items you have to make something, especially when you have the need but may not alot of money. I was inspired to share this because one of my favorite blogs to visit is The Lettered Cottage they are having a linky party and I wanted to participate, I just LOVE the way they decorate! ...When we redid our kitchen and went from dark brown/black kitchen cabinets and olive green appliances and yellow countertops to a more lighter brighter kitchen (after I found out I could paint our laminate cabinets after watching a Christopher Lowell Show)by using Ivory on the cabinets replacing the rod iron hardware and then adding a faux butcher block counter top with cream appliances and beachy colors around the room...I had a wall at the end of our kichen that I would have loved to put beadboard on but didnt have the budget and it needed something to give it some interest...so I thought if I had some type of mirror to open it up but one that fit with our beach type theme it would help also to bring in the light from the other window over the sink...Luckily when I told My Aunt about looking for a mirror she told me she had one I might be able to use...It was perfect! I then took some old matchstick blinds I had and a shelf I had originally had in our bedroom and made this faux window...The candlestick, grass and starfish were items I had around the house that gave it more interest...I had so much fun putting it all together...So if you have some time and you love to create check it out below this post...Share whatever you like to create.. I want to first start by saying Thank You to Everyone over at Splitcoaststampers for making my day on Sunday by chosing me as Featured Stamper....I was tickled pink when I got a message from Lisa (aka lisa lara) from Lisa's Life Lines that I was chosen(Lisa your a sweetie)...I was also in shock! I have enjoyed every moment I spend (and there have been MANY) over at what I call my second home SCS oogling over the wonderful designs that everyone posts there daily...I first joined in 2006 when a friend of mine (who I got my first SU set from) told me about it...Along the way I have met so many wonderful people who I am very proud to call my friends...I have learned so much from everyone there and it has really helped me in my card making...I would like to mention a few people who have had a big influence in my craft...First Connie Williams who got me started in cardmaking, then Aunt Lori who if it werent for her I would not be able to have the supplies I need to make my cards and to some of the card designers (there are many) who I oogle over their designs and hope to one day be as good as they are....Julie Ebersole from Paper Trufflez, Susan Raihala from Simplicity, and Emily from Stamping Scoops these girls have been the ones I always tend to be drawn to because I LOVE the clean and simple design! Well since I made my Elvis card I thought it would be fun to do a Beatles card too using the same red, black and white color scheme and musical notes...I found these guys seperate and took them over to my word program to form a group on stage...My hubby corrected me on how I had them before he knows cause hes a big Beatle fan...I rounded the corners then matted it on the red with pop dots...Wouldnt this make a fun Valentine with the inside saying "She loves you yeah, yeah, yeah..." Hi! Sorry its been a while since I have blogged...My Mom had a triple bypass a couple of months ago and had to go back into the hospital because two of the three they bypassed collapsed...They had to do a very tricky procedure being so soon she just had the bypass made it more dangerous but they got the two stints in and she is doing well....It was very very close! We are very thankful! And even though she doesnt do the computer I wanted to tell her Happy Birthday Mom!!! She turned 75 yesterday and it was her first day out of the hospital....As soon as shes ready we are all going out to her favorite place to eat and celebrate another start and turning 75...I havent had a chance to make anything new so I thought I would post this Valentine card I made not too long ago using some bling bling I found at Michaels in the shape of lips...Added some gingham and a love charm for a quick clean and simple card...Hope all is well with you all and thanks so much for being patient and stopping by today! A big bunch of love is what I have for this stamp set from Penny Black!! Isnt he cute! His name is Miles and he is part of the Mimi and Miles Set...I had a request to make a Valentine card but they wanted it to be a boy and this Miles image fit the request perfectly! My all time favorite thing to do on a card is cut out and pop up portions of the image...I first cut out and popped up Miles hat then one of my toughest critics said "you should pop up the roses too"....So I did and I decided I do like it better especially with that tiny little tag bent slightly as if it were blowing in the breeze...Below is a close up of the parts I popped up...Thanks so much for stopping by today! Ok I am taking a bit of a break from Betsy Bell (even though I love her!)....I wanted to share a card that I recently made that is super easy and has a two in one purpose! This would be a great Valentine card to give to one of the younger people in your life or anyone who loves stickers! Although I didnt have that in mind when I made the card, I got a comment over at SCS from someone who said it makes a great card and gift for those who love stickers! I found a strip of these puffy heart stickers at Walmart for only 99 cents and you can get two cards or more depending on how big you want your matting to be...This size would make for two cards...You just cut the strip in half leaving the hearts right on the strip (I did have to move a few so I could cut evenly then put some back) add pop dots behind the hearts so you cant see them then matted it on white then red....A Clean and Simple card with a little something extra! Hi! I finally moved onto some of the other Betsy images in the Penny Black set...I went with red and black to go with the black and white polka dot paper and added some paper glaze to the balloons to give them some shine (sorry it doesnt show up in the photo) but it really adds alot to the balloons! Hi! Hope everyone is having a great week so far! I have been wanting to try felt on a card and last time I was at Michaels I saw a pack of these sweet felt owls and some cute notecards for Valentines and paired them up for this card...I liked the design on the notecard so I cut the front off and put it on a slant with the cute little owls in the corner nice and cozy...then to mimic the wavy lines and light blue on the notecard front I added some ric rac...I had to name this post "Owl Always Love You"...My favorite version of "I'll Always Love You" was by Dolly Pardon...Then of course Whitney Houston brought it back in Body Guard...Wow thats all going back a while isnt it?

Next Up: Valentines Day...

Hi! And before I get started on my card details I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year! I was hoping to get a New Years card up but theres been alot going on however I did get a chance to make a couple of Valentines cards yesterday and this is the first one I am sharing with you...Martha Stewart has out her line of Valentines Day paper and embellishments and I thought they were pretty cute so I grabbed a few things and came up with this card...My only complaint was the chipboard hearts and keys that come with this arent compatible as far as the key teeth and key hole (I know I am picky!) I am surprised Martha didnt notice....So I ended up using the key with the heart that didnt have a keyhole in it...lol...so I guess it could mean I really dont have the key to this heart...lol...I know I overthink stuff when it comes to crafting sometimes...Its a curse...I ended up making a collage type card with the chipboard and using my cuttlebug swiss dots for texture...Stampin Up buttons were added with some gold thread cause I read Julie Ebersole one time say "never leave one's buttons nekked" shes so funny...A bit of ribbon was threaded through the key and thats my Valentines card for today! My list got a bit bigger....Today I wanted to share a card that I made a while back using chipboard...I LOVE chipboard its so fun to use and gives such a nice touch...A bit of bling was added to the wreath for sparkle and I made a bow to add for fun too...I paired it all up with some Designer Christmas Paper from Debbie Mumm. Moose Meadow Christmas...

Hi! Its been awhile since I have posted...My Mom just had a triple bypass and we have been taking care of her...She is doing much better!....And I have a special order to share with you that I just got around to doing inbetween taking care of Mom and my regular duties....The stamp originally had a bella girl which I replaced with two of the bella guys and added some Santa Hats for the trip to Moose Meadows....It doesnt show up in the photo but there is Aleens Glitter Snow added to the torn paper to represent a snow bank...Some bling for the headlights and pom poms added to the Santa Hats for fun...The Santa Hats were taken from a Penny Black Mimi Stamp that I had used for my Christmas cards this year by stamping, scanning, resizing then cutting them out to pop up on these guys, a bit of sakura stardust in silver added to parts of the car and I cut out the Moose Meadow sign from the designer paper to tuck in the snow bank...This card was a blast to make and I was ready to make a card since its been awhile...It was good therapy...Hey Bill if you look closely its snowing on your card....Hehe....Hope you like it Mr. Bill :D

Hi! I wanted to share another card using the cute embellishments from Recollections...Arent these snowman the cutest! Keeping it very simple I just added them to the sky blue cardstock then using my Martha Stewart Goo Punch for the bottom portion and adding some dazzling diamonds to that area then matted that on the red...Fun and Easy for only 99 cents I can make two of these cards since you get four to a pack....Thanks so much for stopping by!

I have so much fun making cards with these great embellishments by Recollections...Two reasons...One they are only 99 cents! And Two they are so fast, easy and yet I still think they look good...Its an instant gratification! When I saw this pretty reindeer with the gold and red I had to get one and try it out...Now I wish I would have got alot more...Its a die cut acetate so it gives it a floating feel too...Maybe Michaels has some more left....For 99 cents and being you can make them fast they are great to have on hand...Hope your having fun making your holiday cards! This post is dedicated to some stampers whose work I love to oogle over...Emily from ArtfromtheHeart and Jessica at There She Goes Blogs...I LOVE how they cut out their images so perfectly like they do...I usually cut as close to the black line as I can but decided to try it the way they do it and let me tell ya it wasnt easy! Trying to get that perfect amount of white on the outside of the image...My hats off to them! I used my Pink Cat Studio Digi Image to cut out and pop up....I made one on kraft and one on white and I really like how the colors popped on the white background...although the white outline doesnt show up as much...I took the colors from my Turkey and found coordinating ribbons to add for fun...I hope I did them proud on the cutting part...Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by my little ole blog and if you get the chance pay the girls a visit by clicking on their blog names above!...Have a great day!

Tinkerbell...

There was a challenge over at SCS to make a card using green...so I took the opportunity to make a Tinkerbell card for a friend of mine who loves her...And since she wears a green dress it worked out great for the challenge...The image was cut out twice and one popped up over the other slightly to give her dimension...I especially wanted the wings to look as if they are behind her but still bend them out a bit as shown...Pom Poms were added to her shoes with glue dots and SU Dazzling Diamonds make her wings sparkle...Some bling bling surrounds her for fun and ribbon tied around her hair...After I gave this card to someone at the shop another person saw it and ordered one and I ended up putting a few star blings in place of the regular bling...I had alot of fun making this card...My favorite style is Clean and Simple so I stayed with that...Thanks so much for stopping by! Christmas Cards....

Hi! I know its early to be posting Christmas cards when I haven't even posted any Thanksgiving ones yet...but I couldn't resist making a card using this adorable stamp from Penny Black called "Snow Kiss"...(click on photo for enlargement) Isn't it precious! The stamp was a wonderful surprise from my Aunt and I just had to ink it up...I have decided that this will be my card for Christmas this year...At first I just popped up the scarf and then my hubby says "you know what would look cute is if you popped up the hat too"...me thinking to myself "yeah I know it would be cute but he doesnt have to do all that cutting out" lol....anyways I had to try it and darn if he isnt right I like it....but wonder if I will do it on all of them??? Theres 40! So 40 scarfs and hats...YIKES thats 80?? I always give in and do it...and I wanted to try to keep it easy...lol...Well last years cards were pretty easy so this year I will spend more time coloring and cutting...I kept the layout simple and paper to a minimum...What do you think? Hi! Not much longer till Trick or Treat! Anybody out there have any special plans? Its a great time to be able to play dress up and have fun...Arent the Pink Cat Studio images cute! This is Betty the Witch and her little friend...Digi images are great to work with...you can resize them any size you want and they always come out crisp and clean...On this card I added some googly eyes to the frog after I cut it out and popped it up...a bit of sparkle was added to her hat band and socks with a spica glitter pen...A couple of bubbles for buttons and shes all ready to go out and get some candy...This card is going to someone special...Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Hi! Well its finally here....Fall...Even though its still hot here in Florida the fall decorations are out big time...and of course even Christmas! I found these cute stickers at Michaels for only 99 cents...I just couldnt pass them up...I used some SU paper to add to the fall feel and used my scalloped scissors to cut the bottom edge...This one sold fast at the shop...These owls are cute arent they? Hi! Hope you are doing great! I recently made this card to give to my son for his birthday...These Mos Digital Images are great and when I saw this one it reminded me so much of him doing what he loves...Playing games and snacking...lol...On this image I found some small black rope and taped it over the cord image by putting double back on it then pressing it to secure....It worked out great...A tiny hole was made to insert the top part through the back and then I taped it down...Thanks so much for stopping by... This is one of the large ones in the pack so it takes up alot of your card front...I used paper from her Halloween stack to go with this acetate witch....a bit of black satin ribbon for fun and your done! I do love stamping and coloring alot but when I am pressed for time its great to have these type of supplies around...A great deal for them too...Only 4.99 for 36 pieces! Hi! Hope your all doing great...I saw these great acetate die cuts at Michaels the other day by Martha Stewart/EK Success and just had to get them to try...I was sitting right there on the floor with all 36 of these die cuts spread out looking to see what all you get...lol...There wasnt a photo of what all was in them so whats a girl to do? Anyways I loved all of them! And I thought they were a great price for so many pieces especially if you have a coupon too...So I took the plunge and got them along with another pack of more whimsy ones that I will share a card or two I have made using those also...I have to say they are so much fun to play with...I created this scene on a single piece of metallic cardstock and added red bling here and there for sparkle...Glues dots were added to the parts of the fence in black to attach to base so you cant see them...Pop Dots were added to pop up the headstone and owl....This card was a hoot to make...(no pun intended)....hehe...If you get a chance stop by SCS and get in on the challenge for today to make a card using a single piece of cardstock....Thanks so much for stopping by...I really appreciate the time you take out of your day to do so...Hugs!! I had so much fun making this card...I LOVE bird cages and I found this stamp a while back in the dollar bin at Michaels...I have had this idea in my head for a few days and thought I better do it before I forget...My favorite style is clean and simple so I took one of my favorite stamps and paired it with that style...I first stamped, scanned and enlarged it just a big bigger than the orginal stamped image...colored the birds to go with the ribbon I wanted to use, punched a hole in the top part to add a jumper ring to string the ribbon through...Pop Dots were added to the back of the birdcages to secure them once I cut them out...I also did this on one sheet of paper and put that on top of the front of the card so you cant see the ribbon secured on the back...Fun and Super Easy! The inside sentiment will say "Lets Hang Out"...Thanks so much for stopping by today! Hope your day is tweet! :D
